The Saga of Rosemary Goodfruit
The Beach on the west side of the island is easiest to reach, since ships can shelter north of the reef in a minor lagoon and land boats from here.
The beach here is coated in white sands, and wide enough to set up camp without worrying overtly about the tides. The thick jungle skirts the sands to the east, and while the beach continues round the island to the north, it stops abruptly to the south as it meets the steep cliffs on the west side of the hill.
This was the site chosen for the Explorers’ camp. Both Bill the sailor and Captain Nathan Marshall were abducted from here by the beast, though Nathan was later rescued.
